If you want to use My BOP  with the App ElsterSecure, your device must meet the requirements below.

If you would like to use your identity card with My BOP, you need:

• Your identity card with the eID function turned on
• Your six-digit PIN
• A card reader or a suitable smartphone
• Software establishing a secure connection between the identity card and your computer (e.g. the free AusweisApp2 of the German federal government

With ElsterAuthenticator, you can use the login options security stick and signature card. For this, the ElsterAuthenticator must be installed on your PC. On the www.sicherheitsstick.depage, you get the driver for your security stick and installation instructions.

If you want to use a security stick, you can purchase the required USB security stick from the  online shop for security sticks.

If you want to use a signature card, then you can check here whether the card is   ELSTER-fit. Regarding the support of specific operating systems, please follow the recommendations of the manufacturer of your signature card.

If you want to use the App MeinELSTER+, your device must meet the requirements below:

• Android smartphones with Android 11 and later
• iPhones with iOS 15 and later

Macros

Macros have to be enabled in Excel so that the Excel sheets provided can be used.

For security reasons, you should first check whether the Excel sheet has been signed by the Bavarian State Office for Taxes. To do so, you must first enable processing for the Excel sheet. Then go to “Information” under “File”. Under “Enable Content”, click on “Advanced Options”. The security message that opens should also show the signature.
