If you would like to use My ELSTER with your ID card, you will need:

• Your ID card with the online ID function activated
• Your 6-digit PIN
• A card reader or a suitable mobile device (e.g. smartphone)
• Software for the secure connection between your ID card and your computer, e.g. the free federal ID card app

With ElsterAuthenticator, you can use the security stick and signature card Login options. For this variant, the ElsterAuthenticator must be installed on your computer. On the page www.sicherheitsstick.de you will receive the required drivers for your security stick as well as installation instructions.

Macros

Macros must be activated in Excel so that the Excel-Sheets provided can be used.

For security reasons, you should first check whether the Excel-Sheet has been signed by the Bavarian State Tax Office. To do this, you must first activate the editing of the Excel-Sheet. Then go to "Information" under "File". Under "Activate content", click on "Advanced options". The security notice that now opens should also display the signature.
