Warning about fraudulent e-mails

Fraudsters have been attempting to obtain information from tax payers for some time now.

They send e-mails with subject lines like "Benachrichtigung des Bundeszentralamts für Steuern (BZSt)" ("Notification from the Federal Central Tax Office") or "Elster - Aktualisieren Sie bitte Ihre Unternehmensdaten bei Elster für steuerliche Zwecke, um hohe Strafen zu vermeiden" ("Elster - Please update your company data with Elster for tax purposes to avoid high penalties") in the name of the BZSt Online Portal or ELSTER and ask you to open your company or portal account via the attached links in order to change data.

The BZSt expressly warns against responding to this scam e-mail or opening the link in the e-mail.

Hinweise für ELMA-Nutzer via SFTP - Änderung ab 23.07.2024

Aufgrund der vom BSI veröffentlichten Richtlinie TR-02102-4, in der der Einsatz des kryptographischen Algorithmus RSA (für SSH) vom Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) nicht mehr empfohlen wird, muss leider von der Nutzung der SSH Keys mit RSA Algorithmus Abstand genommen werden.
Damit wird ein Umstieg von RSA auf ECDSA erforderlich, der unsere ELMA-Nutzer betrifft, die via SFTP Daten übermitteln. Bitte entnehmen Sie weitere Informationen zur Nutzung von ECDSA dem ELMA-KHB.
Angepasst wurde auch der Antrag auf ELMA-Freischaltung, die Hinweise dazu sind den Hilfetexten zu entnehmen.

Wichtig:

Die Nutzung der SSH-Keys mit RSA Algorithmus ist für Nutzer via SFTP, die eine ELMA-Freischaltung vor dem 23.07.2024 durchgeführt haben, weiterhin möglich. Ebenfalls wird hier bis auf Weiteres ein Parallelbetrieb der RSA/ECDSA-Keys unterstützt.

Hinweise für ELMA-Nutzer via BOP:

Zur Vereinfachung wurde eine Übernahme der alten ELMA-Freischaltungen in den aktuellen Bestand durchgeführt. Wenn Sie ausschließlich via BOP Daten übermitteln, kann die Datenübertragung weiter ohne eine erneute Freischaltung oder Änderung erfolgen.

German Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt) Forms

With all BOP forms, individual related data can be transferred via the portal between any reporting office and the German Federal Center for Information Technology (ITZBund) as a service provider for the German Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt). However, before data can be transferred, the following steps must be carried out:

  • Registration at BOP, if necessary
  • A request for activation of a specific specialized procedure (request for approval), if necessary

Mass data interface of the Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt)

With the mass data interface "ELMA5", a large amount of data can be transferred between any hotlines and the ITZBund and as a service provider for the Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt). However, before data can be transferred, the following steps must be taken: 

  • Registration if needed at the BOP
  • Request for activation for participation in the ELMA5 procedure for the respective specialized procedures
  • only data centre operation: Generation of the ELMA5 certificate.
